MONTREAL, July 9, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - P$ Mobile Service, the remote parking payment solution, celebrates its first anniversary. Stationnement de Montréal is proud to announce that the application, developed in collaboration with TC Media, now has over 200,000 registered users. Since its launch, over 1.8 million payment transactions have been made from a smartphone or computer.
"We are proud to see that P$ Mobile Service has become a part of Montrealers' lives. Users have adopted this new payment method and its growing popularity confirms that the solution meets a need in terms of user-friendliness and rapidity for motorists looking to pay for an on-street parking spot", says Charles Auger, General Manager of Stationnement de Montréal.
User satisfaction
Furthermore, a customer satisfaction survey shows that users are very pleased with the mobile application. In fact, the P$ Mobile Service application scored 8.3/10 for overall satisfaction. So much so that 48% of users no longer use meters to pay for their parking spot. Furthermore, 43% of users heard about P$ Mobile Service by word of mouth, which clearly proves the application's popularity."
"The user satisfaction rate as well as the number of transactions made thus far through the P$ Mobile Service mobile ecosystem tell a powerful story, says Bruno Leclaire, Chief Digital Officer, TC Media. We are proud to see that the quality of the application developed by our teams helps make life easier for Montreal motorists. Other major North American cities will undoubtedly follow suit."
An improved version, adapted to user needs
Moreover, Stationnement de Montréal and TC Media will offer, in just a few weeks, a 1.2 version of the application, which will allow users, among other features, to enter their passwords only once and keep the session active to better manage receipts and facilitate printing for accounting purposes.
As part of the 27th edition of the Concours des OCTAS, the Stationnement de Montréal application won the OCTAS Award in the Mobile Solutions category. Each year, Réseau ACTION TI organizes a contest (Concours des OCTAS), a competition of excellence that recognizes the best accomplishments in the field of information technologies in Québec, across 20 categories.
Let's not forget that in 2012, P$ Mobile Service won the Mobiz Business - Society award at the 2012 MTL DGTL festival. Organized by Alliance numérique, the event pays tribute to the ingenuity and excellence of individuals or businesses that stand out for their mobile solutions.
