Only one month left to see the exhibition with a beat - Musik: From Sound To Emotion at the Montréal Science Centre Français
MONTREAL, Feb. 11, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The countdown has started: there's only one month left to see Musik: From Sound to Emotion, the latest original show at the Montréal Science Centre. Whether it's your first visit or your tenth, don't miss out!
The main message of the exhibition - "Music is a dialogue between sound and emotion" - is conveyed through an innovative approach. There are seven zones: listening; emotion; rhythm; melody and harmony; instruments and voice; and sharing; as well as the Simple Plan zone.
The exhibition features all kinds of interactive experiences for individual visitors and groups, allowing them to play with notes, sounds and instruments. They'll learn about musical concepts and their physical, mathematical, technological and neurological bases.
Visitors can also step into a composer's shoes and create a piece of music, step by step, using a touch-screen digital music player. With the help of advice from musicians from Simple Plan, they'll express an emotion by selecting a rhythm, different melodies, an accompaniment and timbres to make their own composition.
To wrap up Musik: From Sound to Emotion, the Simple Plan zone celebrates the Quebec group's successful first decade.
Musik: From Sound to Emotion is running at the Montréal Science Centre until March 10, 2013.
