The OCC's new President and CEO brings decades of experience in business, leadership and advocacy
TORONTO, Sept. 7, 2017 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce's (OCC) Board of Directors, Chair Graham Henderson announced today that Rocco Rossi has been appointed as the organization's new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 2, 2018.
"Following an extensive executive search, I am pleased to welcome our new President and CEO, Rocco Rossi to the team," said Mr. Henderson. "The widespread experience Rocco brings in business, executive leadership and advocacy will be of great benefit to us as we continue to lead as Ontario's business advocate. Rocco's leadership will no doubt help us advance our five strategic goals to ensure we continue to create value for our chamber network, corporate members and stakeholders."
Bringing over 30 years of experience in business leadership, public policy and advocacy to the OCC, Mr. Rossi currently serves as the President and CEO at Prostate Cancer Canada and will continue in this role until December 31, 2017. At Prostate Cancer Canada, Mr. Rossi helped to advance the research, advocacy, education and awareness of the most common cancer in men. Prior to joining Prostate Cancer Canada, Mr. Rossi held roles at Advanced Material Resources, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, The Boston Consulting Group, Torstar, Labatt/Interbrew and MGI Software.

In 2018, Mr. Rossi will be speaking with the OCC's 135 local chambers and over 300 corporate members to hear firsthand about the issues businesses are facing and the policy solutions that are required.
