TORONTO, Feb. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - Today, the Ontario Heritage Trust hosted a special event at the Elgin and Winter Garden Theatre Centre to launch the province's celebrations for Heritage Week 2013, which runs from February 18 to 24.
Focused on the this year's Heritage Week theme - Cultural expressions - the event featured a keynote address by Marshall Pynkoski, Co-Artistic Director of Opera Atelier, and a special presentation by cultural explorers Sue and Jim Waddington.
As part of Heritage Week festivities, the Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, will present the annual Lieutenant Governor's Ontario Heritage Awards in partnership with the Trust at Queen's Park on Friday, February 22.
