Ontario Hospital Association Named One of Greater Toronto's Top Employers
TORONTO, Nov. 23 /CNW/ - The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as one of "Greater Toronto's Top Employers" for a second consecutive year.
"It is very gratifying to be named one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers," said OHA President and CEO Tom Closson. "I am extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of all of our staff. It is their efforts and commitment that make the OHA both a top employer and a place where employees thrive."
The OHA prides itself in creating a work environment where employees feel their input and effort is valued and respected. "We promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and understanding, and we have worked hard to achieve our high employee engagement rate," says Julie Giraldi, the OHA's Chief Human Resources Officer and VP, Health HR Leadership.
Greater Toronto's Top Employers is an annual competition that recognizes employers that are industry leaders because they offer exceptional work environments.
The OHA was evaluated on a standard set of criteria, including: (1) physical workplace; (2) work atmosphere; (3) health, financial and family benefits; (4) vacation and time off; (5) employee communications; (6) performance management; (7) training and skills development; and (8) community involvement.
The OHA was also recognized earlier this year as one of the "Top Places Where Employees Thrive," an award which recognizes organizations that have created a dynamic and creative workplace.
About the OHA: The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) is the voice of Ontario's public hospitals. Founded in 1924, the OHA uses advocacy, education and partnerships to build a strong, innovative and sustainable health care system for all Ontarians.
