TORONTO, May 8, 2018 /CNW/ - The Green Ontario Fund has announced details of the much-anticipated rebate program for solar PV and energy storage installations. This program will provide qualifying businesses $0.75 per watt for solar panel installations up to 500 kW (AC). Commercial and industrial buildings, which account for nearly 25 per cent of the province's greenhouse gas emissions, can now begin to assess their rooftops for installation of solar panels. The application window to apply for the rebate is expected to open this summer. Ontario has pledged to cut greenhouse gas pollution to 15 per cent below 1990 levels by 2020, 37 per cent by 2030 and 80 per cent by 2050.
