Ontario Northland Enhances Bus Service on Sudbury-Toronto Route During Busy
Holiday Season

NORTH BAY, ON, Dec. 2 /CNW/ - Ontario Northland is pleased to announce that from December 6, 2010 to January 16, 2011, inclusive, an additional run will be scheduled on our Sudbury-Toronto bus route for the convenience of our passengers.  This means that passengers will be able to travel three times a day between Sudbury and Toronto over the busy holiday season.  In addition, this enhanced schedule will benefit customers who wish to ship parcels along this corridor using our Bus Parcel Express service.

"We are pleased to offer our passengers and Bus Parcel Express customers the increased convenience of expanded service between Sudbury and Toronto during the busy holiday season," said Paul Goulet, President and CEO of Ontario Northland.  "We are continually evaluating our operations to see how we can best meet the needs and support the economic and social development of our communities."

The new run will be semi-express in that they will stop only in pre-determined locations along the Sudbury-Toronto corridor, according to the following schedule:

Regularly scheduled routes will continue to provide service to the following communities:
Laurentian University, Estaire, Killarney Road, Alban, Bigwood, Pickerel River Road, Key River, Britt, Byng Inlet Road, Pointe au Baril, Shawanaga Road North, Horseshoe Lake Road, Gordon Bay, Mactier, Port Severn, Waubaushene and Coldwater. 

As well, for the convenience of our passengers, Parry Sound will remain a designated rest stop for all buses travelling along this route.

Motor Coach Services

Motor Coach Services also offers charter and tour services for groups travelling throughout Canada, along with Bus Parcel Express (BPX) services. BPX is a shipping service which offers station-to-station delivery of envelopes and parcels, often on the same day. The transportation of these parcels is handled through scheduled motor coach service routes, with connections across the continent offered through partnerships with other carriers.
