Ontario Place Seeks Innovative Ideas For Revitalization
TORONTO, July 15 /CNW/ -
NEWS
Ontario Place seeks new and innovative ideas to develop a state-of-the-art, year-round waterfront attraction.
A revitalized Ontario Place provides an opportunity to re-energize Toronto's waterfront and bring new international recognition to Ontario.
There is significant social, cultural, and economic value in revitalizing Ontario Place. It has the potential to create a vibrant mix of public spaces, parkland and entertainment venues, and commercial establishments such as restaurants and stores which would boost Ontario's economic activity and create new jobs.
It also presents opportunities to explore projects related to education, culture and the arts, recreational activities and Green Energy initiatives to showcase all that Ontario has to offer.
Ontario Place has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to obtain ideas that consider opportunities for partnerships, environmental leadership, and integration with Toronto's Waterfront.
Responses to the RFI will help Ontario Place seek business interest in a revitalization project that may be considered for redevelopment of the tourism attraction.
The RFI documents are available at www.merx.com where a description of the RFI is also available.
