Ontario Shores Named Greater Toronto Top 100 Employer
WHITBY, ON, Dec. 12, 2016 /CNW/ - Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) has been named one of Greater Toronto's Top Employers in 2017.
In its 11th year of recognizing employers who foster a culture which creates and maintains a desirable workplace, the Greater Toronto's Top Employer competition has become a benchmark for organizations striving for excellence.
"It's a tremendous honour and one which everyone in the organization can take great pride in," says Karim Mamdani, President and CEO at Ontario Shores. "This achievement is a culmination of the organization's commitment to excellence and the desire of everyone at Ontario Shores to be a part of something great."
As part of the evaluation process, the competition considered organizational accomplishments as well as employee remuneration, benefits, the building's physical space along with programs and services that support and celebrate staff.
This is shining accomplishment for Ontario Shores as an organization, but Mamdani believes the impact will be much greater.
"As one of the largest employers in Durham Region this is a very significant accomplishment," notes Mamdani who first joined Ontario Shores in 2006. "This is certainly something our staff, volunteers, patients and families will be proud of and a point of pride for our community as well."
Ontario Shores and its fellow recipients in 2017 were officially unveiled in Toronto and are featured in a special magazine in The Globe and Mail.
