Ontario Students Create Unique YouTube Videos about Kindness and Compassion
TORONTO, Dec. 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Acts of kindness and compassion in Ontario's schools and communities is the focus of a short-video award program announced today by the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association (OCSTA).
Ontario's Catholic school students in grades 4-12 were invited to create 2-minute videos demonstrating how their everyday actions of acceptance, love and charity reflect many of the Gospel values that are taught in Ontario's Catholic schools. Almost 100 videos were created.
Following are the six elementary and secondary school winners for the OCSTA "Living the Gospel" Short-Video Contest for Students:
Elementary Panel Winners:
1st Place: York Catholic District School Board, St. Anne Catholic Elementary School
2nd Place: Halton Catholic District School Board, St. Mary Catholic Elementary School
3rd Place: York Catholic District School Board, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Elementary School
Secondary Panel Winners:
1st Place: Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board, Cathedral Catholic HS
2nd Place: Niagara Catholic District School Board, Lakeshore Catholic HS
3rd Place: Toronto Catholic District School Board, Senator O'Connor College School
