About Ontario VQA Wines
The term VQA provides the promise of origin, quality and authenticity – that the wine within is made from 100% Ontario-grown grapes. Ontario's unique terroirs ranging from Niagara, the birthplace of Ontario's modern wine industry, to Lake Erie Northshore/Pelee Island and Prince Edward County, are attracting internationally acclaimed winemakers to the province. Ontario's VQA Wines are increasingly recognized by the international wine world. They are widely considered to be on the cutting edge of what's new, exciting, and next in the world of wine.
