Ontario's Doctors recognize National Nursing Week
TORONTO, May 9, 2013 /CNW/ - This week is National Nursing Week and on behalf of Ontario's doctors I want to take a moment to recognize nurses for their hard work and dedication to patient care. On the frontlines, nurses play a critical role in ensuring that patients across the province receive the health care services they need and deserve.
As Ontario's health care system changes and evolves, it is imperative that we all work together to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our patients. Nurses play a critical role across the spectrum of health care in long-term care homes, hospitals, doctor's offices and in the community and we are fortunate to be working alongside the best nurses in the world.
I want to thank nurses for their important contribution. Ontario's doctors and nurses will continue to work collaboratively to deliver high quality services and provide timely access to every Ontarian across the province. It is our hope that patients in Ontario will take a moment to appreciate the work that nurses do not just during National Nurse Appreciation Week but throughout the year.
