TORONTO, Sept. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - With premiere week well underway, the double-dealing and double-crossing in another riveting instalment of Survivor: Philippines pushed Global to the top of the night once again. Following last week's winning premiere, Wednesday night's episode attracted 2.7 million viewers (2+ Nat) and 1.2 million viewers (A18-49), winning the night in both demos. Survivor: Philippines' strong national performance was also reflected in all four major markets where the perennial favourite was the top rated show (A18-49).
With continuing strong momentum, Survivor: Philippines returned for its second week, clearly outperforming the first hour of CTV's The X Factor by 53%. In fact, the first two weeks of CTV's singing competition are down by 21% year over year (A18-49 Nat).
Viewers who missed last night's episode of Survivor: Philippines can catch up on GlobalTV.com, on their Global Video App, available from the App Store on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, or on demand through cable and satellite providers across the country.
