OPP Constable Vu Pham - Media Funeral Arrangements

WINGHAM, ON, March 11 /CNW/ - At the request of the Pham Family, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) will be celebrating the life of Provincial Constable Vu Pham with full Police Honours, on Friday the March 12, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex Arena located at 99 Kerr Street in Wingham, Ontario.

Media will not be allowed on the Complex property until 8:00 am on Friday March 12, 2010 to set up for the service coverage. The OPP has designated a location for media vehicles and satellite trucks at the north end of Kerr Drive just north of the complex building. An outdoor audio system has been made available to assist you in capturing portions of the service and is located at the south end, main entry doors to the complex. The location designated for media vehicles and/or satellite trucks is approximately 160 metres from the sound system. Please gauge your equipment accordingly. This location has been selected for logistic reasons based on the large crowd capacity projected.

Provincial Constable Harwood and the OPP Western Region media relations team will be on scene to escort media personnel to designated areas for photo opportunities outside the venue.

At the request of the family there is to be no media inside the arena during the service. OPP Commissioner Julian Fantino will be made available to the media immediately following the service for brief comments. The family does not wish to speak to the media at this very difficult time appreciate the privacy you have afforded them.

Provincial Constable Harwood will be your point of contact and Officer-In-Charge of media relations at the scene and will coordinate interviews with Commissioner Fantino after the service.
