OPP INVESTIGATE SERIOUS ASSAULT ON CHILD AT ARENA IN WOODVILLE - UPDATE #2
CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON, Oct. 29 /CNW/ - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continue to investigate a serious assault on a 4-year-old female child which occurred October 18, 2010 in Woodville, Ontario.
On Monday October 18, 2010 at approximately 6:30 p.m the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP were called to the Woodville Arena located on Union Street after it was reported that a 4-year-old child had been taken from a washroom in the facility and assaulted by an unknown male suspect.
Investigators believe that the suspect removed the child through a side washroom exit at the arena. The child was found in a field area adjacent to the facility.
The Ontario Provincial Police is asking the public's assistance in regards to the investigation. Anyone who might have taken pictures or video at the arena on October 18, 2010 is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
Members of the public can also provide information online by opening the "Unsolved Investigations Database" which is located at www.opp.ca under the Crime Files Section on the homepage. Once in the database this investigation can be viewed by opening up the 2010 files - case number 2010103/2010.
