OPP Seek Public's Help in Trudeau Park Homicide
MADOC, ON, June 3 /CNW/ - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Central Hastings Detachment, under the direction of OPP Detective Inspector Heather Kewley, Criminal Investigation Branch, is looking for the public's assistance for information about the murder of 28-year-old Bradley VAN DIEPEN, of Mississauga.
On May 22, 2010 at approximately 6:00 am, officers attended Trudeau Park in response to a serious assault. VAN DIEPEN was transported to Kingston General Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Officers have arrested and charged four men; Bernard RAINFORD, 27 of Barrie, Brandon GRAY, 24 of Pefferlaw, Kadeem FRANCIS, 19 of Belleville and Colin RAINFORD, 25 of Markham, with 2nd degree murder. All four are being held in custody.
Officers have interviewed over 2100 people from various municipalities in Ontario, Canada and the United States. Investigators believe that many witnesses have yet to come forward and are interested in any information they may have. Specifically, police are asking anyone with still photos or video possibly from the use of cell phone or other electronic devices, around the time of the murder to call investigators at Central Hastings OPP at 613-473-4234.
The investigation is progressing and police are confident that with the public's assistance, they can conclude all aspects of the investigation.
