OPSENS WELCOMES DARREN WILTSE TO LEAD OIL & GAS ACTIVITIES

QUEBEC CITY, Sept. 1 /CNW Telbec/ - Opsens Inc. (TSX Venture: OPS) ("Opsens") is pleased to announce that Darren Wiltse has been named President of Opsens Solutions Inc. ("Opsens Solutions").

Darren Wiltse has over 28 years of both domestic and international experience in the upstream oil & gas industry and served as the COO of Impact Drilling Ltd., a Canadian drilling company, before it was sold to Western Energy Services Corp.

Mr. Wiltse began his oil and gas career as a Drilling Engineer with Petro Canada.  He worked for several oil & gas services companies in manufacturing, marketing and oil and gas production before joining Weatherford Canada where he worked for 12 years. When he left Weatherford, he was Director of Technical Services and responsible for defining the strategy, execution and management of a new artificial lift system for SAGD oil sands recovery.

Mr. Gaetan Duplain will remain chairman of the Board of Opsens Solutions Inc. and Vice-President of the Oil and Gas division of Opsens Inc. He will keep playing a critical role within the oil & gas team and will act as a key player in fostering Opsens Solutions' product offering for the oil & gas industry.

Fiber optics can bring improved measuring solutions to SAGD oil recovery. Opsens intends to bring to the market new products like Cap Rock Integrity sensors, third party Distributed Temperature Systems (DTS) associated with our unique OPP-W fiber optic sensor.
