"Closing rural community schools is robbing kids and their communities of so much," said President Thomas. "It means putting kids on hours-long bus rides every day, denying them opportunities to join extra-curricular activities or gain after-school employment. This government cannot get away with pinching pennies on the backs of kids. They must stop the closures now."
