OPSEU members to rally in London telling Ontarians to 'Choose Public'
LONDON, ON, March 29, 2012 /CNW/ - Members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union will hold an information picket today to bring a message that privatizing public services will hurt Ontarians.
When: | Thursday, March 29, 2012
Where: | 217 York St., London
Time: | Noon-1 p.m. |
The picket will take place in front of the ServiceOntario office, a service that the McGuinty government plans to completely privatize. The recent fiasco at Ornge has proven that handing public services over to private operators is a recipe for disaster.
Ontario's Public Service workers provide high quality services at a very low cost to each and every Ontarian. These jobs provide economic stability in communities that could not survive without that spending power.
