ORMI Appoints New CFO and Strengthens Engineering and Sales Teams
WOODBRIDGE, ON, April 15 /CNW/ - Organic Resource Management Inc. (TSX-V: ORI) ("ORMI" or "the Company"), today announced that Edward Dreher has been named Chief Financial Officer ("CFO") of the Company, and that Douglas Carruthers has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Corporate Development from his previous position as Vice President of Corporate Development.
ORMI also announced that it has hired Mike Tierney as Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Hisham Younis as Director of Engineering.
"We are very pleased to have Ed take on the CFO responsibilities," said Ian Kelland, President of ORMI. "He is an accomplished financial professional who has been a key member of the ORMI team for a number of years. With Ed assuming the role of CFO, this will allow me to focus on the operations and growth of the Company."
Edward Dreher joined ORMI in October 2006 as the company's Controller and was later promoted to Vice President of Finance. His previous experience includes serving as CFO of Consolidated Bottle Company from 1996 to 2002. Mr. Dreher is a Certified General Accountant and has a B.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Douglas Carruthers joined ORMI in 1994 and has held senior positions in the Company since that time. He has applied his 25-plus years of experience in the organic residuals management industry to understanding all aspects of biogas renewable energy. His efforts have helped ORMI to become a leader in the field of anaerobic digestion, which represents an exciting growth opportunity for ORMI. The Company is very fortunate to have Mr. Carruthers continuing to focus on this key initiative.
Mike Tierney is an experienced sales professional whose previous roles have included Director of Sales and Marketing positions with both the Niagara Parks commission and Canada Bread, a division of Maple Leaf Foods. Mike holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Carleton University and has completed the MBA Leadership Program at the Ivey School of Business.
Hisham Younis has more than 13 years experience in managing the sale of capital equipment and environmental protection technologies in the water treatment, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, municipal water management and Natural Gas control industries. Hisham holds a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from Jordan University and an Executive MBA from Lansbridge University.
