Orocobre Limited Announces Appointment of Non-Executive Director

<p>MILTON, <span class="xn-location">Australia</span>, <span class="xn-chron">Feb. 28</span> /CNW/ -- Orocobre Limited (ASX: ORE), "Orocobre" or "the Company", is pleased to announce the appointment of John W. Gibson as a Non-Executive Director of the Company.</p>
<p/>
<p><span class="xn-person">Mr. Gibson</span>, age 52, is a recognised leader in the energy technology and services industry with 27 years of experience. Most recently, <span class="xn-person">Mr. Gibson</span> served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Paradigm Geophysical, a leading firm in the geoscience technology and services industry.</p>
<p/>
<p>Prior to that, he spent 10 years serving in a progression of positions at Halliburton, one of the world's largest providers of products and services to the energy industry.  From <span class="xn-chron">December 2002</span> to <span class="xn-chron">December 2004</span>, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Halliburton Energy Services Group. <span class="xn-person">Mr. Gibson</span> has also served as President of Halliburton Energy Services; President and CEO of Landmark Graphics; Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Landmark's Integrated Products Group; and President and Vice President of Landmark's Zycor Division.</p>

<p><span class="xn-person">Mr. Gibson</span> currently serves on the Board of Directors of <span class="xn-person">Parker Drilling</span>, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company. He holds a Bachelor of Geology Degree from <span class="xn-org">Auburn University</span> and a Master's Degree in Geology from the University of <span class="xn-location">Houston</span>. <span class="xn-person">Mr. Gibson</span> serves as a Trustee for <span class="xn-person">Houston Baptist</span> University, on the Energy Advisory Board of the University of <span class="xn-location">Houston</span>, the Advisory Council of the Institute for Global Ethics, and as a Director of KICKSTART KIDS.</p>
