OSC Announces Roundtable on Proposed Protocols for Meeting Vote Reconciliation
TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2016 /CNW/ - The Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) today announced that it will hold a roundtable to discuss issues identified during consultation on CSA Multilateral Staff Notice 54-304 Final Report on Review of the Proxy Voting Infrastructure and Request for Comments on Proposed Meeting Vote Reconciliation Protocols and next steps in implementing the proposed protocols. The proposed protocols outline roles and responsibilities and provide detailed guidance on operational processes for the key entities that implement meeting vote reconciliation.
The roundtable will take place on Friday, November 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on the 22nd floor of the OSC's office located at 20 Queen Street West, Toronto, Ontario.
The event will include panel discussions on the proposed protocols. The panel discussions will reflect a diversity of views, so as to facilitate a balanced debate.
