Ottawa-area CPA, CMAs named CPA Ontario Fellows
Two Fellows recognized for their outstanding professional and community contributions
TORONTO, Oct. 6, 2014 /CNW/ - The Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario is proud to announce that Monique Arnold, FCPA, FCMA of Gloucester and Brian James Berry, FCPA, FCMA have been recognized as two of six new Fellows to CMA Ontario and of the Society of Certified Management Accountants of Canada.
The FCPA, FCMA designation is a prestigious, national honorary designation awarded to CPA, CMAs who, through their outstanding achievements including community leadership, bring distinction to the accounting profession and serve as a role model to others. FCPA, FCMAs are nominated by their peers, who have recognized their exemplary qualities and contributions.
The 2014 Ottawa-based Fellows are:
Monique Arnold
Monique Arnold is the President of J. & M. Arnold & Associates Ltd., a management consulting firm that specializes in public financial management for a client-base consisting primarily of government of Canada organizations and national governments in African countries.
A CMA since 1988, she conducts reviews of public financial management in developing African countries in areas of budgeting, treasury, risks and reporting.
Monique has served as a member of the Selection Committee for the CMA-CIPFA Awards and recently completed a three-year term a national Vice-President, President and Past President of the Financial Management Institute.
Brian James Berry
As Assistant Secretary and Chief Financial Officer at the Canadian Intergovernmental Conference Secretariat, Brian is a leader in an agency with a mandate to provide administrative support services to senior level intergovernmental meetings held across Canada.
Brian is also President of the Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre Volunteer Association, which seeks to enhance the quality of life of the centre's patients.
A CMA since1992, Brian has been very active in his profession, both as a mentor and with the Eastern Ontario District of the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario, where he has served in a number of positions, including Chair.
