Ottawa Community Housing & the OCH Foundation for Healthy Communities pair up for a tribute to Jo-Anne Poirier

OTTAWA, March 3, 2014 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, March 4^th, 2014, Ottawa Community Housing Corporation (OCH) will join the Ottawa Community Housing Foundation for Healthy Communities (OCH Foundation) to toast the work and legacy of Jo-Anne Poirier at an event in Jean Pigott Hall. Jo-Anne Poirier was CEO of OCH, the second largest social housing provider in Ontario, from 2008-2013. Before her departure, she founded the OCH Foundation, a charitable organization that empowers and inspires the 32,000 tenants living in OCH communities to achieve personal success.

When:	Tuesday, March 4, 2014 Event begins at 5:00pm. Co-hosts take the mic at 5:15pm. Event closes at 7:30pm.

Funds raised at the event support OCH Foundation programs.

Ottawa Community Housing Corporation is the largest social housing provider in Ottawa, and the second largest in Ontario. It provides almost 15,000 units to over 32,000, seniors, parents, children, singles and persons with special needs in more than 160 communities across the City.

The Ottawa Community Housing Foundation for Healthy Communities is an instrument to go beyond the bricks and mortar of OCH housing. Its focus is the people - the 32,000 OCH tenants who live in OCH communities across Ottawa.
