TORONTO, Sept. 26 /CNW Telbec/ - This past weekend Canadian psychiatrists honoured their colleagues - psychiatrists, psychiatric residents and other exceptional individuals - for their contributions to the mental health of Canadians during the Canadian Psychiatric Association's 60th Annual Conference in Toronto. The following individuals were celebrated for their outstanding work:
- Dr. Derek Puddester from Ottawa, Ontario; CPA C.A. Roberts Award for Clinical Leadership - Dr. Stanley Kutcher from Halifax, Nova Scotia; CPA J.M. Cleghorn Award for Excellence and Leadership in Clinical Research - Dr. Michael Boyle from Hamilton, Ontario; The Alex Leighton Joint CPA-Canadian Academy of Psychiatric Epidemiology Award in Psychiatric Epidemiology - Dr. Ari Zaretsky from Toronto, Ontario; Association of Chairs of Psychiatry in Canada Award for Excellence in Education - Dr. Mandana Modirrousta from Winnipeg, Manitoba; Association of Chairs of Psychiatry in Canada Annual Research Award - Dr. Nathan Herrmann; Canadian Academy of Geriatric Psychiatry Award for Outstanding Contributions to Geriatric Psychiatry - Dr. Sheri Van Djik; R.O. Also, this weekend, the honour of Fellow of the CPA was bestowed upon four CPA member psychiatrists in recognition of their exemplary contributions towards excellence in psychiatry. The CPA's 2010 Fellows are:
Dr. Blake Woodside; Dr. Aidan Stokes; Dr. Paul Links and Dr. Raymond Tempier.
