TORONTO, Jan. 15, 2013 /CNW/ - In a television first, Hawaii Five-0 allowed the North American audience to choose from three alternate endings for last night's episode in real time. Three suspects' motives were revealed during the broadcast on Global giving audiences the chance to tweet their favourite culprit as their chosen killer — east coast viewers chose #theBoss while west coast viewers selected #theStudent. Over 1.8 million Canadians watched this innovative episode putting Global in the top spot for the night. Viewers can watch all three endings now available online at GlobalTV.com.
Fans flocked to Twitter to vote on one of three special endings with 47,815 total social mentions (772% increase week-over-week)**, according to Trendrr.TV. Both #theBoss, and #theTA were also trending topics nationally on Twitter.
