Over 2,500 participants from major sectors of our economy are attending Le Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires Français
MONTREAL, Nov. 10, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - This morning, Le Mouvement québécois de la qualité kicked off the Salon sur les meilleures pratiques d'affaires, organized in collaboration with the Quebec government, especially the Ministère de l'Économie, de la Science et de l'Innovation. Over 2,500 individuals converged today on the Palais des Congrès de Montréal to attend Quebec's most important event devoted to continuous improvement and innovation.
"We are proud to showcase a record number of over 40 projects targeting continuous improvement, innovation and mobilization. The teams responsible for these projects are eager to share the lessons they learned and the best practices they applied. By sharing actual cases that have produced tangible results, we encourage businesses to implement improvement or innovation projects. Since its first launch, the Salon MPA has helped hundreds of companies to improve their productivity, the quality of their products and services and their innovation process," states Johanne Maletto, Executive Director of the Mouvement québécois de la qualité.
The Salon presents a top-level program, including pavilions on trending topics, major presentations, a Leaders' Forum and training sessions taught by recognized experts. It's a unique opportunity for business leaders, experts, students and enthusiasts of continuous improvement and innovation to hold discussions and discover real success stories by Quebec companies as well as the latest trends.

Pavilions on Automation and Problem Solving
The Mouvement québécois de la qualité and Emploi-Québec de l'Île-de-Montréal have joined forces to present a pavilion bringing together leading companies that have implemented automation projects. Experts and entrepreneurs explain the various steps involved, from diagnosis to implementation, and share their experiences.
A second pavilion dedicated to problem solving provides participants with simulations in a structured approach, enabling them to experience all the steps of a problem-solving process. Experts will present a series of creative tools and methods that visitors can test and compare, including 8D, PCRP, Kaizen, DMAAC, and A3.
Presentations of the highest calibre
Two major presentations are scheduled. Rich Sheridan, seasoned speaker and author of the bestselling Joy Inc. and co-founder/CEO of Menlo Innovations, presents a new approach to bringing joy to work, mobilizing teams and increasing productivity with his presentation entitled "Creating Joy at Work!"
Réal Jacob, Professor in the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at HEC Montreal and co-director of the Catalytic Mindset module of the EMBA (McGill-HEC), explains three ways of developing business collaboration capabilities.
Leaders' Forum
Moderated by Stephan Bureau, the Leaders' Forum focuses on youth in 2016 by hosting five young entrepreneurs who have agreed to share the secrets of their success with the thousands of participants at the Salon. They all share the same gene—daring. They dare to question traditional business models and transform them. They dare to redefine management styles and rethink their relationship with work and employees.
Training Capsules
Training workshops on high-end topics are presented for visitors, such as updating management data, the latest changes to ISO 9001, the importance of the human dimension in change management, as well as the major principles of day-to-day management systems.
