TORONTO, Feb. 13, 2013 /CNW/ - Panasonic Corporation of North America today announced that its subsidiary, Panasonic Canada Inc., appointed Michael Moskowitz as President, effective April 1, 2013. Mr. Moskowitz replaces Ian Vatcher, who currently serves as President and will be retiring.

Mr. Moskowitz is currently Executive Vice President, leading the consumer and business divisions, including sales, marketing, supply chain and customer care.
He joined Panasonic Canada in August 2011, bringing more than 20 years of experience in leading growth companies in the consumer electronics, communications and technology industries.

Before coming to Panasonic, Mr. Moskowitz served as President and CEO of satellite radio operator XM Canada from 2008 until 2011. Prior to XM Canada, he was President, Americas International of Palm where he managed Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean region. Michael holds a B.A. from York University and an MBA from Dalhousie University. In 2003, Michael was named one of Canada's Top 40 Under 40, an award presented to exceptional Canadians under the age of 40, who are outstanding leaders in their chosen fields and who are shaping our country's future.
