Glenn and Jessie have been pioneers in using their fame to speak publicly about the struggles of individuals, and their families, living with mental illness. Glenn, Jessie and Calen founded and are actively involved in "Bring Change to Mind," a nonprofit organization committed to tackling the stigma and discrimination of mental illness.

Journalist Laura Ling will speak about her captivity in North Korea. Ling and a colleague had been reporting on a story about the trafficking of North Korean women when the two were violently apprehended by North Korean soldiers along the Chinese-North Korean border. Originally sentenced to 12 years in a labor prison, Ling's release was secured by then U.S. President Bill Clinton in 2009 after she spent months in captivity. Today, Ling continues to report on sensitive topics such as women's rights in Turkey, slave labour in the Amazon, and Internet Censorship in China, among other topics.
