Parc Jean-Drapeau's Aquatic Complex set to open on May 23 - The first outdoor pool to open in Montréal Français
MONTRÉAL, May 19, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Here's a sure sign that summer is fast approaching: Parc Jean-Drapeau's Aquatic Complex is opening this weekend, from noon to 7 p.m. Swimmers who are eager to get in their training laps can do so in one of the three outdoor pools.
As of May 30 and then every weekend until June 7 thereafter, the gradual-slope recreational pool, with a cushioned rubber mat for small children, will open, much to the delight of families. Meanwhile, the pools for the general public will open every day from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., as of June 8.
Spontaneous activities on some Saturdays
According to the theme day calendar, the popular Samedis gonflés activity is scheduled to return on June 20, enabling youngsters to have loads of fun on an inflatable game set up in the water of the recreational pool; they'll also be treated to an array of animated activities. For the more sporting inclined, introductory clinics on the sport of water polo will be offered by Waterpolo Québec.
The Aquatic Complex services include changing rooms, lockers (it's recommended you bring a lock) and the loan of a flotation device.
