PARLIAMENT APPROVES HARPER GOVERNMENT'S SPENDING PRIORITIES
Appropriation Bill for the fall Supplementary Estimates (C-58) becomes law without amendments.
OTTAWA, Dec. 15 /CNW/ - Today, the Harper Government's Bill that specifically outlines how funds from Budget 2010: Leading the Way on Jobs and Growth will be spent, became law, ensuring that the Government's action for Canadian workers and families can continue. The passing was welcomed by the Honourable Stockwell Day, President of the Treasury Board and Minister for the Asia Pacific Gateway.
"The economy is the number one priority of Canadian families and is the number one priority of our Government," said Minister Day. "The passage of this important Bill means our Government can continue to deliver on the priorities of Canadian families."
The Appropriation Bill for the fall Supplementary Estimates (C-58) passed into law with no amendments.
"We are very pleased that Parliament has passed this important piece of legislation without amendment," continued Minister Day. "This endorsement of our action for families and workers means that our Government's commitments can be implemented without further delay, helping Canadians from coast to coast to coast."
