Partial closure of a section of Highway 15 (Viaduct East)

Pavement inspection from Friday, November 19 at 10 PM to Saturday, November 20, at 1 PM

LONGUEUIL, QC, Nov. 19 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) wish to announce the partial closure of a section of Highway 15 (Viaduct East) from Friday, November 19 at 10 PM to Saturday, November 20 at 1 PM. This work requires the alternating closure of two northbound and southbound lanes out of three during this period.

It is important to note that the southbound and northbound lanes will not be closed simultaneously. The southbound work will take place at night and the northbound work during the day. During this work, at least one northbound or southbound lane will remain open depending on the direction of the work. During the southbound night closure, the entry to Gaétan-Laberge Boulevard will be closed, and motorists will be invited to use the Atwater exit to head towards Highway 15 South.

This closure allows for the six lanes of Viaduct East to be thoroughly examined. Traffic risks being quite heavy during the work and motorists are invited to use the Bonaventure Expressway, to avoid this section of Highway 15. The Jacques-Cartier Bridge also serves as an alternative during this period.
