MERCIER, QC, Sept. 22, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - The ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l'Électrification des transports wishes to inform road users that slab repairs on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge will require the closure of one lane towards Montréal from Saturday September 24th at 10 p.m. to Sunday September 25th at noon.
In addition, between October 3rd and October 24th, work on the Honoré-Mercier Bridge will lead the closure of the LaSalle Boulevard between the streets Trésor-Caché and Lafleur. A small detour, marked with signs, will be offered to road users. Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to cross under the Monette Bridge.
Those interventions might be shortened or cancelled due to work progression, weather conditions or operational constraints.
Between 2016 and 2018, about $4.7 billion will be invested by the ministère des Transports, de la Mobilité durable et de l'Électrification des transports in the road network on about 2 100 construction sites throughout Québec. To plan your trips and find out about current and projected traffic hindrance, consult the Mobility Montréal section of the Québec511.info website. Respecting road signs is vital for the safety of road users and workers.
