LONGUEUIL, QC, Feb. 28, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Pascan Aviation is pleased to announce the start of two daily return scheduled daily flights from St.Hubert airport towards Toronto's Billy Bishop airport. Beginning this April the 10th, these flights will be done in partnership with Ufly Corporation (Ufly), as reseller.
Business needs
Based on the results from independent studies, these new flights will respond to a real demand: "It has been a couple of years that this project is in our plans. The business clientele on the South-Shore and downtown Montreal is increasing its travelling in downtown Toronto, and Pascan Aviation has the assets, know-how and infrastructure to service this business segment. The drive to Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau has become a trip of its own! We will get our clients from the St.Hubert airport to Billy Bishop in the same time it will take them to beat the traffic from the South Shore to Trudeau airport. We also hope that these flights will stimulate the demand from the downtown Toronto business community." says Mr. Julian Roberts, President of Pascan Aviation. Committed to the development of the St.Hubert airport, the City of Longueuil granted $70,000 to the carrier, and Développement économique de l'agglomération de Longueuil (DEL) granted $30,000 to help Pascan Aviation to establish this connection to Toronto. "The support from the City and DEL really helps us to have the means of our ambitions. Above and beyond these financial grants, the City and DEL have demonstrated a real vision for the development of the territory and we are proud to be part of it." adds Mr. Yani Gagnon, executive Vice-president at Pascan Aviation.
A win-win partnership
The development of this new flight schedule to Toronto will be done in partnership with Ufly Corporation: "Business travelers are spending too much time in airports waiting. We want to change this. Our corporate membership format is designed to help business travelers spend more time with clients instead of spending at the airport. Pascan Aviation is the carrier best suited for this kind of project with their executive-type aircraft and VIP client service approach" according to Mr. David Brochu, Guest Experience Manager at Ufly.
