Taxpayers can now pay individual and business taxes online or in-person at Canada Post locations across the country
TORONTO, March 12, 2018 /CNW/ - Today, Payment Source, Canada's premier alternative payment provider, announced the launch of PaySimply, a third-party payment solution created as part of the company's ongoing relationship with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) which makes the tax payment process easier and more accessible for Canadians. Using PaySimply, taxpayers can pay individual and business taxes online using a credit card or in-person using cash or debit at any of the country's 6000+ Canada Post locations.
"We're thrilled to announce the launch of PaySimply, continuing our goal of making payments more accessible to Canadians," said Robert Hyde, VP Payment Services for Payment Source. "We strive to bring choice and financial inclusion to Canadians, and this new site is another step toward ensuring the country has a breadth of tax payment options."
PaySimply provides Canadians with alternative tax payment methods that are both secure and convenient. The new service also enables users to pay several different types of taxes, from corporate income tax and payroll deductions to individual T1 taxes and benefit repayments. The credit card option allows individuals or businesses to defer the cash flow impact on their bank account while, last-minute tax payers can utilize the in-person payment option through which the CRA recognizes the payment on the date it is made at the post office.
By following the instructions on the PaySimply website, taxpayers are able to select their tax type, enter the required details – which include social insurance number or business number, and payment amount – and make their payments.
The service is now live and available for use by Canadian taxpayers at paysimply.ca.
