TORONTO, June 11, 2014 /CNW/ - From June 17th to 20th, the city of Toronto will become the "Payroll Capital of the World". More than 800 payroll professionals from all over Canada, as well as the United States and the United Kingdom, will be in the bustling city of Toronto to attend the Canadian Payroll Association's (CPA) 32nd Annual Conference and Trade Show, Payroll 2014: Navigating Towards Excellence.
This is Canada's largest annual payroll event, offering payroll professionals at all levels a total of 73 education sessions, keynote speakers and personal and professional development opportunities focused on knowledge building, knowledge sharing and networking.
While the Conference is open to CPA members and media who have registered for the event, the trade show is open to business, finance and payroll professionals from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18th at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel at the corner of Queen Street and University Avenue in downtown Toronto. A Benefits of Membership breakfast seminar on Current and Emerging Payroll Issues is also planned for Wednesday June 18th at 8:30 a.m., which is open to business, finance and payroll professionals who register.
At the trade show, 45 payroll stakeholders, publishers, software and service providers and government representatives will showcase their latest products and innovations that help make payroll compliance and administration more efficient and effective, and enable payroll practitioners and professionals to stay current.
Exhibitors include ADP, the American Payroll Association, Avanti Software Inc., Canada Revenue Agency, Carswell, a Thomson Reuters business, Ceridian Canada Ltd., Desjardins Payroll & HR Services, D.L.G.L. Ltd., LeadingEdge Payroll Group, National Bank, Nebs PAYweb.ca, OnPayroll.ca Corp., Payworks, Revenu Québec, Robert Half Canada, Service Canada and Workday.
Keynote speakers include Doug Keeley, renowned author of The Mark of a Leader, and Jessica Holmes, well-known humorist and wellness coach. Doug Keeley will give the opening speech on Wednesday, June 18th at 12:00 p.m. and Jessica Holmes will close the 32nd Annual Conference and Trade Show on Friday, June 20th at 12:15 p.m. with an energizing and funny speech about motivation and success.
