Peel board, Ranjit Khatkur reach settlement

TORONTO, Nov. 19, 2012 /CNW/ - The Peel District School Board and Ranjit Khatkur are pleased to announce that they have reached a settlement of Ms. Khatkur's application to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Director of Education Tony Pontes said, "The board remains fully committed to equity and social justice in all its dealings with staff, students and members of the community."

Ms. Khatkur stated, "I am encouraged with the direction the board is taking in relation to equity and inclusive education issues."
