PEOPLE FROM COSSETTE wins Best of Decade at the Marketing Awards
MONTREAL, June 10 /CNW Telbec/ - PEOPLE FROM COSSETTE came away a huge winner last night at the Marketing Awards in Toronto winning the big prize of the night, the "Best of Decade," for our 2007 "Make Art Pop" Mentos gum campaign, and 12 prizes in total, including four Gold Awards.
"Make Art Pop" for Mentos was voted the top campaign of the decade in a vote between all the previous "Best of Show" winners of the past ten years. The breakthrough Mentos campaign, which turned round pieces of Mentos gum into works of art, won Marketing's "Best of Show" as well as many other awards in 2008. A video summary of the campaign is available on YouTube at www.youtube.com/LeMondedeCossette.
"This recognition for the Mentos campaign is a wonderful win for our team in Montreal. With 12 prizes in total for PEOPLE FROM COSSETTE, kudos goes out across our organization. Last night's performance was a really impressive showing at the Marketing Awards, which are sponsored by industry trade publication Marketing Magazine, and considered by many to be the most prestigious advertising awards show in Canada," says Brett Marchand, President and Chief Operations Officer.

The team in the Cossette West office won two Golds, three Silvers and two Bronze awards last night for clients McDonald's Restaurants, The Gap, Russell Beer and the Cervical Cancer Steering Committee.
The Toronto team won a Gold for an innovative Olympics campaign for the General Mills Cheerios brand, in which consumers were invited to cut out the word "Cheer" from a Cheerios box to send to Vancouver in support of our Olympics athletes.
The final Gold went to our Montreal team for a campaign to help rescue dogs (the Underdog Club) in the Public Service Integrated category.
