Limited edition bottles feature renowned artist's iconic designs
TORONTO, Sept. 16, 2015 /CNW/ - Perrier Canada announces its collaboration with renowned street artist L'Atlas on a limited edition collection: Perrier Inspired by Street Art. Following a collaboration in 2014 with three international stars of the street art movement, Perrier has commissioned Parisian street artist L'Atlas to create artwork for a limited edition series of cans and bottles. Known for creatively reimaging the look of their famous product and overturning convention, Perrier has once again turned to a world-renowned artist to redesign the iconic Perrier packaging. Products featuring L'Atlas limited edition designs are available worldwide on November 1, 2015.
L'Atlas, whose work is reminiscent of typography and optical illusions, has created a series of images that are mesmerising and thought provoking. Drawing on a variety of inspirations, including Japanese textiles, labyrinths and the light bubbles of Perrier, L'Atlas' Inspired by Street Art designs are elegant and contemporary. By juxtaposing the notions of "full" and "empty" and integrating the aluminum of the cans as an essential part of the motifs, L'Atlas has created eye-catching designs that respond to the iconic Perrier package.
"L'Atlas' work really speaks to the exuberance of the Perrier brand - young, bold, fresh and stylized," said Tracey Peake, Marketing Director, International Brands, Nestlé Waters Canada. "Perrier has always been linked to the big names in art, from Warhol to last year's three prominent street artists, JonOne, Kobra and Sasu, cementing its position amongst premium beverages as the stylish choice engrained in our culture. Each of the separate designs created exclusively for Perrier by L'Atlas, comes the three flavour choices: lemon, lime, pink grapefruit, as well as the traditional natural Perrier. This all natural, no-calorie alternative means Canadians can consume on-the-go or at their favourite restaurant or bar in a new, chic way. Perrier is the ultimate stylish refreshment," explains Ms. Peake.
Speaking about his exclusive Perrier design, L'Atlas said, "The size of the labels and the surface of the cans are not a constraint, but rather an opportunity to do something new."
The limited edition Perrier packaging is available in three 100% recyclable formats: 250ml single-serve aluminum cans; 500 ml PET plastic and 750 ml glass. Perrier Slim Cans are available at leading retailers, convenience stores and restaurateurs across Canada at a suggested list price of $6.99 for a 10-pack, while Perrier 500ml PET products are available at $6.99 for a six-pack, and Perrier 1L PET bottles are available at $1.79 each.
