Peter Rusin Runs For City Councillor in Ward 3 While Urging Voters Not To Be Fooled By Meed Ward
Rusin's priorities as next City Councillor include an affordable housing initiative, smart growth, and more.
BURLINGTON, ON, Oct. 10, 2018 /CNW/ - Peter Rusin, a candidate running for City Councillor in Ward 3 in the upcoming municipal election for Burlington, Ontario, is encouraging voters to be cautious when they cast their vote for Mayor of Burlington in the ballot box on October 22, 2018.
As Election Day nears, Rusin urges Burlington voters to elect officials with a proven track record and competency in dealing with local governance. Rusin brings 30 years of experience to the table, and has proven his abilities through over 3,000 transactions negotiated by him between various public and private sector parties, including a wide range of land use planning and development issues.
Rusin also wants to educate voters so they will not be fooled by the unethical falsehoods and deceptive details that candidate Marianne Meed Ward (running for Mayor in this election) has put forth throughout her campaign.
"Meed Ward misled people on the Waterfront deal that got her elected in the previous election," insists Rusin. "I negotiated the Waterfront deal and possess the factual evidence including a comprehensive report used at Council as well as the greater details of the truth to share with the people of Burlington."
Rusin stresses that Meed Ward is untruthful when she says Rick Goldring, the current Mayor of Burlington who is also running for re-election, sold waterfront parkland. He also insists that there are not 30 proposed new high-rise buildings for downtown Burlington, despite Meed Wards' claims to the people of Burlington.
