Peters & Co. Limited announces Chris Potter appointed President & CEO

CALGARY, Oct 4 /CNW/ - The principals and directors of Peters & Co. Limited are very pleased to announce that Christopher S. Potter, who has been serving the firm as President, has also been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2010. Mr. Potter holds a B.Comm. degree from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary and is a CFA charterholder. Among other community involvements, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. In 2007, Chris was named one of "Canada's Top 40 Under 40".

Ian D. Bruce, who has served as Chief Executive Officer of the firm since 2002, has been named Co-Chairman of the firm, concurrently with this new appointment for Mr. Potter. Michael J. Tims, previously Chairman, and a past Chief Executive Officer of the firm, has also been appointed as Co-Chairman at the same time.

The firm's senior management otherwise remains unchanged and, in addition to Messrs. Potter, Bruce and Tims, includes the Managing Directors: Jeff J. Martin (Research), Mitchell D.
