PetroCorp Group Inc. Releases First Quarter Results

EDMONTON, Aug. 30 /CNW/ - PetroCorp Group Inc. (PCG.H: NEX) (the "Corporation") announced today that it has released its financial results for the first quarter of its fiscal year.  The financial statements, together with the MD&A are available on www.SEDAR.com.

The Corporation also announced the appointment of Mr. Hal Beauclair as a Director, subject to regulatory approval, to fill a vacancy left by a previous resignation.
