Phil Esposito announces his support of the upcoming Frank D'Angelo Haiti
Relief Benefit Concert.
TORONTO, April 15 /CNW/ - In anticipation of the Frank D'Angelo's Benefit Concert for Haiti Relief Thursday April 29th at Hugh's Room comes word that Frank will be joined on stage by a dear friend. None other than Hockey Hall of Famer Phil Esposito will be flying in for the concert to lend his support. "Living in Florida, the disaster that happened to Haiti hit close to home for me. Florida has a large Haitian community, and I saw the large number of people that were airlifted to Florida for emergency medical assistance - they were devastated and we all need to help them," said Esposito.
Hot on the heels of the release of the single "It's Just Got to Go" by Frank D'Angelo in support of Haitian Earthquake Relief, Frank and Phil are happy to give back to assist the suffering people of Haiti with a benefit concert. Scheduled for Thursday April 29th at Hugh's Room, 2261 Dundas Street in Toronto, the show marks the live debut of "It's Just Got to Go." It's an original song sung in Frank D'Angelo's unique R&B style and available online at www.frankdangelo.ca for only $2.99 with all net proceeds going toward Haitian relief efforts. The song is also being played on radio stations and a video of the song is being supported on CBC Television stations across Canada.
"The evening is all about people coming together to help those in need. It's going to be a great party with great music, all for a worthy cause. Having hall-of-famer Phil Esposito lending his support means a great deal to me," added D'Angelo. The benefit show is scheduled for Thursday April 29th at Hugh's Room, 2261 Dundas Street in Toronto. Tickets are $25 in advance or $27.50 at the door. Call 416-531-6604 or visit www.hughesroom to make dinner reservations.
Never one to stand still when it comes to helping those in need, this past November, D'Angelo launched his own personal campaign to help the homeless by releasing a special rendition of "Silent Night". The song, a remake of the old standard, was played on radio stations across Canada and is available online at www.frankdangelo.ca, as well as the iTunes Music Store with all net proceeds donated to charities that support the homeless.
Over the past several years D'Angelo has recorded and released several CDs and performed countless benefit concerts in support of The Breast Cancer Society of Canada and many other charities. Whether it's entertaining Canadian Troops or opening for the likes of Tom Cochrane, Peter Frampton, Burton Cummings, LoverBoy, Gino Vanelli, The Temptations, Cowboy Junkies, Alannah Myles and George Canyon, when D'Angelo covers all-time favourites or sings intricate original scores he commands the spotlight and treats the audience to a non-stop show filled with infectious energy.
Frank D'Angelo is also the owner of D'Angelo Brands, a private company committed to providing high quality beverage products. Based out of Mississauga, Ontario, D'Angelo Brands offers a wide variety of beverages including D'Angelo Apple Juice, Cheetah Power Surge Caffeine Free Energy Drink, Soul Fruit, D'Uh Premium Old Fashioned Sodas, as well as private label and co-packaging services. www.dangelobrands.ca, www.cheetahpowersurge.com
