The Lifesaving Society to unveil materials translated in 28 languages on
Swim to Survive is the Lifesaving Society's survival training program that defines the essential minimum skills needed by all Canadians to survive an unexpected fall into deep water. Since its launch, more than 200,000 Ontario Grade 3 students have participated in the program.
Who: Barbara Byers, Public Education Director for the Lifesaving Society will unveil the newly translated parent information packages with Tony DePascal, Vice President, Commercial - Peel, RBC; and grade 3 students from Worthington Public School and Our Lady of Providence in Brampton. What: A 30-minute press conference and photo opportunity with above noted spokespersons, translated materials enlarged for the event, and students from Worthington Public School enrolled in Swim to Survive. One-on-one interview opportunities with spokespersons and children enrolled in Swim to Survive. Filming of Grade 3 students demonstrating Swim to Survive skills in the pool for one hour following remarks.
