Photo and Interview Opportunity - Toronto Hydro Public Safety Demonstration at Fern Public School
At the end of this week, children will be on vacation, outside, and looking for things to do. Toronto Hydro wants them to be safe this summer (and all year!)
TORONTO, June 21, 2013 /CNW/ - No more pencils, no more books, no more teachers' dirty looks!
The last day of school (June 28) is just around the corner, and kids will have more time to be curious and outside playing. Toronto Hydro wants to remind everyone about electrical hazards.
WHO | Three grade one classes at Fern Public School will learn about electrical safety from Toronto Hydro and Parenting Writer and Blogger Samantha Kemp-Jackson, also known as Multiple Mayhem Mama. |
WHAT | Grade one students will rotate around four safety stations that include: indoor and outdoor safety, a Toronto Hydro bucket truck and equipment, and an interactive hazard display. |
WHERE | Fern Avenue Junior and Senior Public School schoolyard 128 Fern Ave (back entrance to schoolyard on Wright Avenue, east of Roncesvalles Avenue.) |
WHEN | Monday, June 24th after recess at 10:35 a.m. |
WHY | Let's keep our children safe. With more time on their hands and by nature adventurous and curious, kids could find themselves in some dangerous situations. There are many electrical hazards that are overlooked or forgotten, and now that school's out for summer, they'll need a reminder to stay clear. |
