MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 21, 2015 /CNW/ - Health Partners International of Canada (HPIC), a relief and development organization dedicated to increasing access to medicine and improving health in vulnerable communities, is celebrating our 25th anniversary.
In a quarter century HPIC's impact: more than 22 million treatments provided to people in over 100 countries.
Dr. Saren Azer will speak about the Syrian refugee crisis, focusing on their medical needs. Dr. Tanjina Mirza VP of Plan Canada will speak about Plan's projects with HPIC. Other speakers include Lois Brown, Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of International Development; Dipika Damerla, Ontario's Associate Minister of Health and Long-Term Care; and the Hon. Jake Epp, who will bring greetings from Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Special guests include MP Stella Ambler, MPP Amrit Mangat, MPP Kathryn McGarry.
