TORONTO AND MONTREAL, April 30, 2014 /CNW/ -
What: | On May 7, 2014, more than 1,400 McDonald's restaurants across the country, including Toronto and Montreal, will celebrate the 21st McHappy Day. On this day, $1 from every Big Mac® sandwich, Happy Meal® and hot McCafé® beverage sold will be donated to Ronald McDonald Houses and other local children's charities across Canada. In addition, many restaurants will hold fundraising events leading up to McHappy Day. To help celebrate McHappy Day, a variety of special guests, sports and media personalities, local dignitaries and professional entertainers will be onsite at local McDonald's restaurants for events throughout the day. Since its inception in 1977, McHappy Day has raised more than $42 million for Ronald McDonald Houses and other local children's charities, helping thousands of Canadian families and their sick children. |
