Photo Opportunity: Children across Canada make toonies count for the
Children's Miracle Network
TORONTO, Nov. 29 /CNW/ - To kick off the season of giving, children and their families across Canada are coming together to show the difference every toonie makes. To help launch the campaign at TD Canada Trust branches across the country, local children will empty small money jars filled with toonies into a large money jar in hopes of setting an example for other children to do the same this holiday season, and throughout the year.
TD Canada Trust is encouraging Canadians to regularly support charity as part of their family's financial plan, which presents an opportunity for parents to teach their children about the importance of giving to others and that even a small amount can make a big difference.
In partnership with Children's Miracle Network, TD gives customers the ability to donate to regional children's hospitals straight from their TD Canada Trust bank accounts through automated monthly donations. One hundred per cent of contributions go directly to the local Children's Miracle Network member hospital and TD matches up to $1million of customer donations to the Children's Miracle Network each year.
