Florida's Favourite Family Destination Announces Support of Operation Smile at SickKids
ORLANDO, FL, Oct. 4, 2012 /CNW/ -
OVERVIEW:
To celebrate official World Smile Day on October 5, Orlando, a destination responsible for making millions of people smile, is teaming up with The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto to help bring more smiles to children with facial paralysis.
WHAT:
Visit Orlando will present a $10,000 donation to help fund Operation Smile in the highly regarded Toronto hospital's Facial Paralysis Program. One lucky patient of the program, Joshua Storey of Peterborough, will be surprised with a trip for four to visit Orlando.

Danielle Courtenay, Chief Marketing Officer for Visit Orlando, Dr. Ronald Zuker (a.k.a. "Dr. Smiles", who conducts a dozen or more smile surgeries a year) and patient Joshua Storey will be available for photos and interviews.

World Smile Day is celebrated by Visit Orlando around the world, where the day is devoted to smiles and global acts of kindness. Operation Smile is part of the Facial Paralysis Program at SickKids, which is recognized worldwide and this donation will help families who rely on the program for surgeries every year. The funds will also allow for further research into the movement and coordination of smiles, and help make these surgeries more effective in the future..
