the Alberta Children's Hospital

CALGARY , Nov. 30 /CNW/ - Kids at the Alberta Children's Hospital will be the big winners thanks to golfer Stephen Ames driving a big act of charity their way this week. After taking his second title in three years at the Children's Miracle Network Disney Classic in November, earning him $25,000 US to donate to his charity of choice, Ames is giving the sum to the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation. The tournament, held at Disney's Magnolia and Palm Courses in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, was the first win of the year and fourth career victory for Ames.

"We're absolutely delighted that he's chosen to invest this money in the Alberta Children's Hospital," says Jim Truesdale , Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation Board Chair. "These funds will help provide for family centred child health programs, specialized life-saving equipment and advanced pediatric research for kids and families across southern Alberta."
